art project

I got the girls to help me paint a picture to hang some where....i saw one similar to this for $100 and thought, hey, i could do that! I am scared to put the "lord bless our home" prayer on it until i get a more precise paint brush. Or i might put "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord". Any other cute family/home scripture/prayer ideas????
my next venture will be some type of canvas with either their names or initials to hang over the big girls' beds. we had fun and finished the whole thing while rebecca was napping!

Photo shoot...attempt

Note the hem ripped out of rebecca's dress
good models....
the best one with all three, after an offered reward of chocolate.
and she's off!!!! I give up....

These were their Christmas/Valentine's dresses that I never got a photo of all 3 wearing, so after church Sunday I was determined to get one. After one click my "good" camera battery died. And these were the best of the bunch from my "purse" camera. There were shadows on their faces which made them look blurry....I just give up!!!

Happy b-day Laurel

We went to celebrate our niece Laurel's first birthday in Hattiesburg this past weekend and had fun hanging out with everyone. She liked her cake and had a cute pink and brown cupcake party. I think Laurel will need to change clothes at least twice a day- she got so many cute clothes, even 4 swimsuits!!!! I can't believe she's "not zero" anymore, as my girls would say.

Deacon

Richard was ordained as a deacon at our church and it was such a sweet service. His brother, sister, their spouses and the cousins surprised us and came, too. It was a very special family time. We're thankful for the opportunity Richard has now to serve the church family.

Maury and Aja
Claire and Maury -best buddies

Maury's school had a dance program and it was so cute. They did the cha-cha slide, macarena, alley cat, scarf dance and flashlight dance! It was fun but Maury was a little teased.....
